God, My Parents, and Me

Take our parent survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MBQSZDX

A parent group for families with young children. God, My Parents and Me supports the challenging work of parenting by offering spiritual fellowship and emotional nurturing to parents at All Saints Church and in the community at large. Meetings are held Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the Guild Room. Child care is provided.

We welcome all types of parents. Foster parents, LGBTQ+ parents, single parents -- all are welcome here.

Sunday, 11/11

Children’s Chapel at 9 and 11:15 am

Children’s Chapel occurs every Sunday at 9 am and 11:15 am for Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Children’s Chapel is a space for children to explore church community at their own level. We radically welcome, pray, explore themes of the people of God, and discuss what’s happening in the world.

After Election Day on Tuesday we are going to talk about voting and get a chance to vote ourselves! Students will identify how voting is ONE out of many ways to make a difference in our wondrous and confusing world. Students will use star stickers to vote on design ideas for our advent art creations. In the past Kelly has acted as the dictator but this time our students will decide for themselves! Each Sunday in advent has a theme Love, Joy, Hope, and Peace. Which images of each will our students choose?

Questions for the car ride home could include:

  • What happened in chapel this week? (Don’t worry if your child doesn’t remember- ask them how they felt instead!)

  • Did anything you voted for in the election win?

  • How did you feel when your favorite won? How did you feel when it lost?
