God, My Parents, and Me
A parent group for families with young children. God, My Parents and Me supports the challenging work of parenting by offering spiritual fellowship and emotional nurturing to parents at All Saints Church and in the community at large. Meetings are held Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the Guild Room. Child care is provided.
We welcome all types of parents. Foster parents, LGBTQ+ parents, single parents -- all are welcome here.
Children’s Chapel at 9 and 11:15 am
Children’s Chapel occurs every Sunday at 9 am and 11:15 am for Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Children’s Chapel is a space for children to explore church community at their own level. We radically welcome, pray, explore themes of the people of God, and discuss what’s happening in the world.
This week in Children’s Chapel we will be talking about fear and joy (just in time for Halloween) During this extra spooky lesson we will talk about what makes us scares, others scared, and what do we do when we are scared. We will also talk about how young people bring joy and light into the world and where does joy and light come from? Matthew 5:16 says “Be a light for all to see”.
Questions for the car ride home could include:
What happened in chapel this week? (Don’t worry if your child doesn’t remember- ask them how they felt instead!)
I heard you talked about thing that are scary? Did anyone share what they found scary?
How do you help people who are scared?
